DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC
Jenny has over 17 years’ experience as a Chiropractor, 13 of which have been in the 3 counties. She set up Aylesbury Vale Chiropractic in 2021, this venture is the next step to keep growing as a healthcare professional and doing the best for the clientele that she sees and the local community.
Jenny is an ICSC qualified Chiropractor (International Certified Sports Chiropractor), and this is the qualification necessary to treat elite athletes as part of multidisciplinary teams. Jenny is qualified to use dry needling (medical acupuncture), instrument assisted myofascial techniques and taping techniques. She has also undertaken further studies in the treatment of infants, functional neurology and Sacro occipital techniques.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Jenny wanted to play her part in healthcare and joined the NHS as part of the Test and Trace team in her role as a clinical caseworker. This has developed Jenny’s understanding of the NHS and its vital role in community healthcare and thus how she can best fit into this model. The communication and safeguarding training has also enhanced her clinical skills enormously.
In addition to her work in Clinic and the NHS, in February 2021 Jenny joined the GCC (general Chiropractic Council) as an examiner on the Test of Competence panel. This panel is used to asses international graduates’ clinical competency to practice in the UK.
Jenny Qualified as a Chiropractor from the University of Johannesburg in 2004, she was awarded the CASA (Chiropractic Association of South Africa) Presidents medal for outstanding contribution. She was the first University of Johannesburg representative on the WCCS (World Chiropractic Congress of students). Prior to starting in private practice, Jenny worked as a clinical supervisor in the Student clinic at the University of Johannesburg. She was also an assistant lecturer at the university.
Jenny arrived in the UK in 2005 and has been practicing in the 3 counties since then, first at ISIS Chiropractic Clinic, Aylesbury. She then had a short hiatus, when she returned to practice in South Africa for 2 years. Jenny returned to working in the UK after the birth of her son Cole. She spent over 9 years at Chirozone in Leighton Buzzard. Jenny has been continuing to develop her skills through post graduate studies.
Jenny is married to Warren, her IT ‘guy’ and they have a son Cole. The family have lived in Leighton Buzzard since 2011.
Clare is from Leighton Buzzard and lives with her husband and daughter, Polly, who is seven years old. After what can only be described as a mid thirties wobble five years ago, Clare decided life was too short to hate Mondays and retrained in something she could be proud of, loved doing and that can help people. Clare believes in the huge list of benefits that massage can bring to a person's life and thinks it should be accessible and affordable for all. A keen runner, busy mother and having her own mental health challenges Clare understands what positive impact a massage can have on a person's physical and mental health. Massage is a necessity not a luxury.
Clare is a Level 4 qualified Sports Massage Therapist. She is also qualified in Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial release. Clare has great experience working in multidisciplinary settings, having worked with Physiotherapists and Osteopaths in the past. She has also enjoyed treating her many lovely clients in their homes. We are very excited that Clare has decided to join Aylesbury Vale Chiropractic and I am sure she will be an asset to our patients.
