EXTRACORPOREAL RADIAL SHOCK WAVE THERAPY (ERSWT) IS THE APPLICATION OF SHOCK WAVES IN MEDICINE.
When Shockwaves are applied to injured tissues they cause a response leading to:
- Reduction of pain felt by nerve fibres
- Increase of blood flow in surrounding tissues
- Beginning of healing process triggered by stem cells activation
This is particularly helpful in the treatment of chronic (long-standing) soft tissue injuries.

We remain open. Chiropractic has been classed as essential healthcare, this means that our work takes pressure off of the NHS. We will continue to provide a safe environment for you when you attend the practise by following the strict guidelines issued by a professional Association and regulators.
We have undertaken a rigorous risk assessment, with yours and our own safety in mind, and now have effective health and safety measures in place that ensure your visit to the practice is as safe as we can make it, given the nature of manual care.

- Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell) must stay away from the clinic and follow advice on nhs.uk/coronavirus
- Telehealth appointments (or advice) will be offered for those patients who need advice if they cannot attend for care.
